According to PM news, Ifunanya, a final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State failed to show up at the wedding venue, St Patrick Catholic Church, Umuchu in Aguata Local government of the state, keeping guests waiting.
She was said to have later sent a message to the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Lawrence Maduagwu, that she was no longer interested and asked him to cancel the wedding because she was a graduate while her husband-to-be was a school drop-out.
There was chaos at the wedding which was to take place Saturday, 3 January, 2015 as guests who were shocked over the development started trooping out of the church.
Ekene said he was the one financing her education and they had agreed to get married during her final year. He added that she did not inform him about her decision to back out of the wedding, only for him to get to the church and be informed by the priest about the cancellation of the wedding.
Na wa... so all these while he was sponsoring her in school she didnt know she wouldnt marry him... Ladies ehn, only God will help men on this earth o.
